(Lacco Ameno 1909-Roma 1964). Generale di Divisione. In tenera età si trasferì con la famiglia a Taranto, dove il padre, maresciallo, prestava servizio nella Marina Militare. Dopo i primi studi, nel 1929 entrò nell'Accademia di Fanteria e Cavalleria di Modena. Il 22 gennaio 1941, al comando della Divisione corazzata Ariete, partì per l'Africa settentrionale italiana. Sui campi di battaglia fu combattente eroico, trascinatore di missioni, meritando varie decorazioni, tra cui la Croce di ferro germanica di II classe, che
però lui calpestò e buttò via quando ci fu l'eccidio delle Fosse Ardeatine. Il 7 maggio 1942 il re Vittorio Emanuele III gli conferì l'onorificenza di Cavaliere dell'Ordine coloniale della Stella d'Italia. Durante le Olimpiadi di Roma, nel 1960, tenne il comando del Raggruppamento Militare. Il comune di Lacco Ameno ha deliberato di intitolargli una strada.
